Aloha & Welcome
Vicar & priest's welcome
Aloha on behalf of the people of Emmanuel Episcopal Church!
Welcome to our website, and we look forwarding to welcoming you in person at our beautiful campus in the Enchanted Lake district of Kailua, Hawai'i.
You are invited to a safe and sacred space. A place of beauty, peace, and transcendence.
A place where the Divine is encountered, love shared, and justice embodied.
For almost 60 years Emmanuel has been committed to inhabiting and serving the community of which it is a part. Emmanuel’s long-standing partnership with Family Promise is a cornerstone of this service. A church which invites questioners, seekers, doubters, and skeptics, Emmanuel approaches faith with an open mind and a heart for people, animals, and the environment.
The church is a public place open to prayer five days of the week. The dedicated drinking fountain for people and companion animals is a popular meeting place for walkers and joggers on Keolu Drive. And a recent project to install photovoltaic panels on the church roof will be the first step in reimagining the way in which Emmanuel cares for these beautiful Hawaiian Islands.
Visit us during the week when our church is open for prayer and our church office is open for assistance and inquiries: Tuesdays through Friday between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm.
Regular Sunday services are at 7:30 am and 10:00 am each Sunday at 780 Keolu Drive in Kailua. However, we are much more than a Sunday only church, so do explore our website (including our calander) and be in touch if you need any additional information.
Whether you are new to church, a tourist in Hawai'i, or you simply wish to visit with us, please do not hesitate! We look forward to sharing with you the aloha spirit of these Hawaiian Islands.
E komo mai - make yourself at home. You are invited and most welcome in this safe and sacred space.
Blessings, and much aloha,
Vicar, pastor, and priest
